Brown Bag Discussion (Adult Study Group) is Back!!!
We would like to invite anyone that would like to have a 4 Wednesday Night Adult Study group during the month of June. We will start at 6 pm and go to 7:15 pm ish. We are encouraging all adults to bring a brown bag meal with you so that you can enjoy conversation while eating your supper. In case you will forget your bag, we will have refreshments for each of the sessions. The sessions are Retrieving Freedom, Domestic Violence Awareness, Pineridge Indian Reservation, & Scripture Talks.
Bring A Flood Bucket to Synod Assembly
Each congregation attending the Northeastern Iowa Synod Assembly is asked to bring a prepared flood bucket clean-up kit to share. Flood buckets contain essential cleaning supplies that can help families and communities affected by flooding, tornadoes or other disasters.
The buckets collected at Assembly will be divided into three groups and stored at locations in Mason City, Decorah and Waverly — three areas prone to flooding. The Disaster Response Network and the synod have set a goal to collect at least 150 buckets at Assembly so that 50 buckets or more can be on hand in each of the designated communities for quick distribution to families.
There will be bucket with a list of supplies needed and box to collect money toward those supplies at both churches. Please cross off what item that you are getting for the bucket so that we don’t have duplicates in the bucket.
